SMORTLER + SI / Trust, rights and responsibility

Privacy Policy

How personal information may be collected, used, protected, and handled across SMORTLER-operated services and participating sites.

Effective date: October 27, 2026Shared policy / site-specific notices may apply
One policy, different responsibilities. This notice describes SMORTLER's own practices and a general framework for services where it provides technical support. A separately operated website may need supplemental disclosures and remains responsible for its own data practices.

Scope and operator responsibilities

This notice explains information practices associated with SMORTLER-operated websites and services, and offers a shared baseline for websites that expressly link to it. Not every website uses every feature or collects every category described here.

Where SMORTLER provides software, hosting, security, or maintenance for a website operated by another organization, that organization may determine why and how personal information is collected and used. SMORTLER may act as a technical service provider on its behalf. A link to this notice does not automatically make SMORTLER the owner of another operator's records or its sole data controller. Site-specific privacy notices, contracts, and legally required disclosures take precedence where applicable.

Information you choose to provide

Depending on the website and requested feature, information you provide may include your name, email, telephone number, organization, messages, support requests, uploaded documents, images, account details, profile preferences, or forms submitted to the service.

Where a website offers memberships, accounts, transactions, subscriptions, bookings, or other specialized services, its operator may collect additional information required for those functions. Sensitive personal information should be submitted only through an appropriate, authorized channel and when necessary.

Technical, usage, and security information

When a Site is accessed, its servers and security features may collect IP addresses, request times, page paths, referral addresses, browser and device details, session identifiers, error information, performance metrics, and events relevant to fraud prevention or incident investigation.

Some Sites may use analytics or other measurement tools to understand general site use. Collection varies by website and its configuration; this notice does not claim that all linked websites deploy identical tracking or analytics products.

How information is used

Information may be used to provide requested services; respond to correspondence; administer authorized access; support client-requested workflows; maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve infrastructure; investigate abuse; document transactions and service activity where applicable; and meet applicable legal or contractual requirements.

Where consent or a particular legal basis is required for an activity, the responsible operator should obtain it and provide appropriate additional disclosures. These general descriptions do not replace any feature-specific consent or notice required by law.

SI-assisted features and submitted content

Some services may include SI-assisted analysis, automation, content generation, or interactive assistance. If a feature processes user-submitted text, files, or other data through an external technology provider, the responsible website or service operator should disclose the relevant processing and apply the protections, approvals, and agreements appropriate to the information involved.

Do not provide passwords, private keys, confidential records, medical information, or other sensitive material in a public input unless the feature expressly supports and authorizes that use. Data-handling commitments for contracted development or customer systems are governed by the applicable agreement and any more specific privacy or security notice.

Cookies and similar technologies

A Site may use session cookies or similar technologies for sign-in, preferences, form protection, security, or basic functionality. Optional analytics, advertising, embedded content, or third-party services may use additional cookies or local identifiers depending on the particular Site.

You can generally control cookies through your browser and, where provided, site-specific preference tools. Disabling necessary session cookies may prevent accounts or protected features from working. Required consent or opt-out controls must be made available by the relevant operator when applicable.

Service providers and sharing

Information may be shared with hosting, communications, authentication, security, analytics, payment, technical-support, or other providers when needed to deliver an authorized service. Disclosure may also occur to the responsible website operator, its authorized personnel, or parties you direct us to involve.

Information may be disclosed when reasonably required to comply with valid legal process, protect safety, investigate incidents, or defend legal rights. Content intentionally made public by a user may be available to others. Each participating operator should provide additional detail where a material disclosure or regulated data sharing practice requires it.

Independent website owners and clients

For a separately operated website, its owner or authorized operator may control decisions regarding customer, member, employee, subscriber, or account records, including who can access them, the purposes for processing, and responses to privacy requests. SMORTLER's role may be limited to software or infrastructure support, as established by the service relationship.

For privacy requests about records controlled by another organization, contact that site's published administrator or privacy contact. SMORTLER cannot promise to change or delete information held under an independent operator's authority without lawful authorization.

Data retention and deletion

Retention depends on the nature of the information, the purpose of its collection, system configuration, agreements, security needs, and applicable law. Contact messages, application logs, backups, account records, and transactional information may be retained for different periods.

We and the responsible operators should retain information only as appropriate for legitimate purposes and lawful obligations. Requests for deletion may be limited where information is required for security, legal compliance, backups, dispute resolution, or existing contractual obligations.

Your choices and privacy requests

Depending on applicable law and the Site, you may have rights to receive information about processing; access, correct, or delete certain data; opt out of particular activities; or withdraw consent when processing is based on consent. Some records may be exempt from a requested action or require identity verification.

For information SMORTLER controls for its own business operations, contact us through SMORTLER Contact. For records controlled by an independent operator, use that organization's official contact process. We will not request sensitive credentials simply to process a privacy inquiry.

Security and confidentiality

SMORTLER and the responsible Site Operators should use technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the services and the sensitivity of information involved. Protections may include access restrictions, secured connections, monitoring, backups, and procedures for responding to incidents, as applicable to a particular system.

No website or electronic storage system can guarantee zero risk. Users should protect their login details and promptly report suspected misuse to the responsible website operator.

Data locations and international visitors

SMORTLER is based in the United States. Information used by a Site or its service providers may be processed in the United States or in other locations associated with authorized services. Visitors may have different rights under local law. Where a particular service requires transfer-specific notices or safeguards, its responsible operator must provide them.

Children and age-sensitive services

General business and technology services are not designed to solicit personal information from children under 13. If a parent or guardian believes a child has provided information through a Site unexpectedly, they should contact the responsible Site Operator for review.

Websites or services specifically directed to children, students, or other protected groups may require additional notices, permissions, and controls; this shared notice alone does not satisfy those requirements.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

This notice may change as services, technologies, or legal requirements evolve. The effective date above identifies this version. When legally required, material changes must be announced and any necessary consent sought through the relevant service or website.

Contact and additional notices

For privacy questions about SMORTLER's own operations, use the SMORTLER contact page. For a different organization operating a Site that links here, check that Site's published contact information or any supplemental privacy notice. If you do not know which organization controls your information, describe the affected service in your message without sending passwords or highly sensitive records.
